Movie Review: Once Upon A Time In Mumbai

once-upon-a-time-in-mumbai-wallpaper.jpgBasically plotted on 70’s era ,Once Upon a Time In Mumbai, revolves around two people, Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgan) who is a smuggler, does smuggling but does his altruism by helping common man of his beloved Mumbai and Shoieb Khan (Emran Hasmi) who wants to rule Mumbai, for he seeks the POWER come may what.
So, movie has everything, Two parallel love stories, Awesome, Jaw dropping and worth whistling dialogues, delicious tracks, and well crafted editing.
The critical part of the movie that saddens me is the background score. In 70’s era movie used to be filled exhilarating, intense background punch. In OUTIM, movie had one of best dialogues one after another unlike today’s movies. But some of the dialogues just go unnoticed because intensity of the pitched dialogue is understood seconds late due to un-sentential lack of background score.
Also some of the scenes that should lead the story henceforward don’t seem to be following. Likewise, Kid emran hasmi says he’ll repay the slaps with interest to the man who caught him stealing money from STD booth but later the vengeance seem to go in vain. Rehanna (kangana) the movie actress after falling in love seem to have no movie in her kitty, she throughout the movie followed Sultan. Prachi desai looked beautiful. I liked the scene wherein Emraan introduces Prachi to Ajay Devgan “bhai ! apna chal ra”. Laughing out aloud. It was funny. Movie had so many good incidences but movie could have had better sequences if to be believed in 70’s era.
Was worth a watch !! Mind blowing songs and dialogues !!
